Who remembers the Mizlou Network?
They used to carry college football games back in the '70s and '80s. Did they ever carry any current Big East teams back then? I think a few Metro Conference games were shown.

Mizlou was big on syndication of the bowl games that weren't on the Big 3 networks. They, along with ESPN, syndicated & produced the '84 Holiday Bowl where BYU won the national title.

I think the Big East was syndicated through Creative Sports, who eventually was bought and became ESPN Regional Television.

TVS used to be another big syndicator of sporting events like college basketball. They were the ones who televised the big UCLA-Houston game from the Astrodome.

TVS went as far as partnering with NBC on their college basketball. Usually this was for a telecast window where NBC would provide a "Game of the Week" to different parts of the country. West coast would get the PAC-10, southwest would get a SWC game, the northeast would get an ECAC game. It was NBC on-air personnel, TVS production personnel and it was generally called "College Basketball on NBC in association with TVS".
