2009 UCONN commits
Both of these kids committed to UCONN when they were freshmen in high school. Both are 4 stars and one of them is already a top 25 player for 2009.

Congrats on the pick-ups. Looks like the rich keep getting richer. One question...How's Calhoun going to keep all these guys happy with just one basketball?

Coach Calhoun suggests each year 1 or 2 of the unhappy/underperforming basketball players to transfer. It is a continuous cycle of new blood.

Yes Calhoun is very clear if you can't cut it at UCONN, you can go somewhere else. Good players do play at UCONN though. Those 2 kids committed to their dream school when they were really really young. I think both will have good careers as Huskies. Both are awesome players.

No matter what, you got to give Calhoun credit. He prepares players for the NBA better than anyone right now. UCONN players in the NBA are not just good players, they are all stars. The improvement of Thabeet in 2 years has been pretty amazing.

I was wondering where Pitino learned that since he does the same thing every year.

Maybe they both learned it from Dixon at Pitt.

You guys are a riot with this crap. There were 160 transfers out of D 1 programs THIS YEAR ALONE. We are not the only ones.

Does Dixon have a big turn over? I'm suprised it isn't more than 160. I know we had two leave this year alone. It seems every year Rick has at least one that leaves for some reason. It's not a bad thing. That's why they issue scholarships by the year instead of 4 years. Again congrats on the two new recruits. You guys are loaded..again.

Dixon just had a kid come out and tell the press he was told to leave the program. I dont have the article, maybe it was already posted here, not too sure. Thats pretty bad though. The 160 was a recent number, it should be up now with the kid from GT deciding to leave as well.

Thanks, we shall see what kind of impact they can have.
