RE: ESPN ranks the BE rivalries

True although with BCS status and BE affiliation we are starting to leave MiamiOH in the dust....games are not competetive right now and many UC fans, including myself, feel that we should no longer go to Oxford for a game. Most UC fans say 1. Cancel series altogether or 2. Games only played at Nippert. And it's only going to get worse for MiamiOH with UC's BCS tag we are getting recruits that could have picked Miami a few years ago....these types of players are picking UC now leaving MiamiOH to battle it out for the leftovers with Ohio, BGSU, Toledo, etc.
Some people say this is being "elitist" and saying UC fans are being hypocrits for taking this stance with MiamiOH and then turning around and griping about OSU not wanting to play UC but that's not apples to apples....UC/MiamiOH is BCS playing non BCS........UC/OSU is BCS playing BCS.
I think the games vs MiamiOH should only be played at Nippert...actually I would say drop altogether but with only 7 conference games we need the OOC game....and at least it's a local team that will bring some fans to The Nip.
And yet, UC only been BCS since 2005, but that didn't stop UC fans from complaining about OSU before then
Can't argue with what you are saying here....however, as things stand now in the present, UC IS BCS and so my point is valid...can't live in the past my OSU friend....can't live in the past.
I see your point, it's just that I remember what it's like to have a natural rival refuse to play a certain team, and it pisses me off. (OSU refusing series with UC and UD in bball, UK to UL in both sports)
It's a shame OSU/UC haven't played over the years on the hardwood....there would have been a lot of good games that would have gone both ways. Granted, the ONE game they did play featured OSU's team that went to the national title game vs. UC's WORST team in a quarter century....but that game aside there would have been some really good games over the years (and some blowouts...a few of Huggs teams would have crushed the Bucks on certain years) but either way the overall series would have been great.
Not sure why they can't play now...OSU is big 10, UC is Big East both are power bball conferences. Marquette and Whisky play one another and the games are usually pretty good and go either way. it's a shame....

UK (The Governors Cup), Cincy (The Keg of Nails), and WVU (I forgot what it's called). I'd post pictures of them, but I don't know how to do that.
You should have some online storage with your ISP. If so, go to your ISP's home page, then select the link that will get you to your online storage. Then just follow the directions on uploading the file to your online storage. They will have the URL you need to put in front of the file name to put the link within the image tags here.
Of course
We have...... The Governor's Cup ........... and .......... the Keg of Nails.
As far as I know, though, there is no trophy for the WVU-UofL series. The only trophies WVU will play for are the Lambert Trophy, and the BCS Championship.
I hope that helps. L8r
Syracuse and West Virginia play for the Ben Schwartzwalder Trophy

West Virginia and Va Tech played for the Black Diamond Trophy which was a great idea considering the Appalachin heritage of both schools.....winning the Black Diamond became very important for the fan bases very quickly..it was a great idea

Jackson
I knew about both trophies, and both slipped my mind when I posted that.
You know how it goes. I've had a couple traumatic brain injuries, and I'm getting up there...
The Black Diamond Trophy is a fairly recent addition though. I think it was first proposed by Cecil Underwood, or his people, as an election promise to the West Virginia coal industry. Virginia's Governor decided to come on board, since coal is mined in Virginia too.
In both men's first year in the Governor's office... voila... a trophy...

I think it could have become one of the premier rivalries in bball
