It is uncomfortable listening to him "discuss" football and talk on those shows.

lol, he is entertaining sometimes, but wow he goes off on weird tangents. Example, when Reece Davis said that if Pitt wants to contend in the Big East they would be adviced not to go 0-2 in the MAC. Lou Holtz started screaming that he played in the MAC. And the guys just looked at him and said that Pitt needed to beat Buffalo and he screamed that he played in the MAC. Reece said that all he meant was that the Big East was a better conference then the MAC and going 0-2 against MAC teams didn't bode well for Pitt's chances in the MAC. Holtz pounded his fist on the table and was rambling something about the MAC. Just a weird moment.

It took you this long to figure it out? I had him figured a long time ago, CC... 03-banghead

Did you see Lou Holtz trying to say Pat White wasn't that accurate a thrower and his receivers helped him out? Did he watch the same game I did. White was 25-33, which looks pretty accurate to me, and he'd have had more completions, and no interceptions, if the receivers had just caught the ball that hit them in the hands.

I think he sucks. The new segment of "Dr. Holtz" is terrible.

I loved Holtz when he was here. He had the combination of passion and brains that you want in your coach. (Davie and Ty lacked in both departments while Weis lacks in passion) Sometimes he'll make the craziest prediction ever, but sometimes he'll strike gold.
Listen to what he says though, not how he says it. Some of Lou's quotes are very deep and make you think.

(As for his 11 wins prediction, I agree that if ND shows up to their first 11 games that they can win all of them [though they'll find a way to blow about 3 of them guaranteed], and then get beaten down by SC and BCS bowl team showing how porous our schedule really is)

I don't miss Trev. But I'm not a Lou Holtz fan either. I don't care if he is from Follansbee... 03-banghead
