Positives from the Pitt game
I know there isn't alot but even myself glamorized the piss poor coaching of Cavenough and Wanny.

Alright the D played pretty good. Mick Williams is the real deal at DT. The D simply got worn out after the Offense 3 and out alot in the 3rd and with all the turnovers. I don't blame the Defense at all with this loss. If the Offense turns over the ball 4 times your more than likely to give up 27 points. I just don't feel that Bowling Green beat us. Pitt beat themselfs.

Against Buffalo I expect a pissed off football team that should blow the Bulls off the field. Only wildcard in that philosphy is Wanny.

The biggest positive is that it may have finally blown the belief that Wannstedt is a good coach, once and for all... 03-banghead

Well you and CatClaw was right on that.

I don't know but I think we'll find out good Stull really is next week. If he stinks up the joint again this has to be Bostics team. I want to see more Jonathan Baldwin. If Alabama throws in Julio Jones as a true freshman its ok I'll say it again its ok to play Jonathan Baldwin. He can't be worse than I'm going to drop every pass Turner. I think Shane Hale needs to play now that Murry is hurt as well.

Pitt needs to go to a spread now. Play like a Texas Tech or Missouri style spread. Move Dorin Dickerson back to reciever, play Baldwin and just throw the damn ball. And you can spread out Bynam if needed. You can use a T.E. in a spread. Larod and Shady will get their yards anyways so that isn't a big deal.

Again, year 4, and this is the BEST that you can do for the opening game - at home - against a MAC team? I mean Pop Warner wants his playbook back.

DW is 13-20 against 1A schools. I mean, how well would Pitt do with Kelly or Edsell as coach? BG coaches with Pitts talent would have won 50-0 over the BG team with the Pitt coaches.

Your right. The crazy thing is I bought into wait till year 08 since day one Wanny came to town. He said things may be tough till then and it was but I waited till 2008 and this is what we got. What a joke.

I won't agree or disagree with that. But I bet we could agree that Wanstedt is a horrible coach. When he punted TWICE when inside our 40 yard line I couldn't believe it. When your are the favorite on your home field, go for the knockout. Pitt could have been up three scores! But he let us hang around and hang around. Then we got our offense moving and it was over.

It's funny, because I don't think much of Gregg Brandon as a coach, but he looked like a genius out there compared to Wanstedt. 05-stirthepot
