RE: Fresno-Rutgers game thread.
UC was supposed to play Fresno either last year or this year but it got moved because of the Oregon State game. Boy would I have loved a crack at Fresno State this year.

RE: Fresno-Rutgers game thread.
That interception sealed the deal. Game over. Now the only question is, will Fresno pile on some more points before the smoking gnu.
Any of you recognize that reference?

Boy, the Big East sure could use UC taking out Oklahoma on the road at this point.

They should do it Bit. Margin of Victory is what will get them a BCS berth.

Don't worry CatsClaw Cincy will win that game. So far, other than the Pitt game, I've been doing pretty well on predicting these games.

RE: Fresno-Rutgers game thread.
I hope you're right animus. Imagine if UC upsets Oklahoma! That would give the Big East 2, maybe 3 Top 15 teams. Cincinnati would be knocking on the door of the Top 10, and USF could slip into the Top 14 with a win. Tough road games for the Big East's Big Four. West Virginia at East Carolina, Cincinnati at #4 Oklahoma, South Florida at Central Florida, Connecticut at much improved Temple. It's going to be tough!

Rutgers caps off a tough opening weekend for the Big East. If this keeps up I predict it won't be too long before the "does the Big East deserve a BCS bid" questioning starts again.

It's already started. But when UC and WVU win Saturday, it will all cease abruptly.

As far as I'm concerned BE and ACC fans should give MWC and WAC teams credit.

I give them credit, but Rutgers was playing at home and is supposed to be one of the top teams in the Big East this season. On the other hand, Fresno St. is picked to make a run at a BCS game. No doubt - it was a tough opponent for Rutgers, but to be held to 7 points is disappointing.
Louisville played a tough SEC team, but they really looked bad on offense. Pitt got a lead and started to believe the preseason hype, and it cost them against an upper echelon MAC team.
Yes, the losses were to good opponents, and the wins were against lower level opponents. We'll see how things look in a few weeks I guess.

RE: Fresno-Rutgers game thread.
If Fresno pulls off a victory against Wisconsin, this loss won't look so bad. It will be a very good loss if the Bulldogs make a BCS bowl, and Rutgers doesn't lay any more eggs.

RE: Fresno-Rutgers game thread.
I don't see UC beating OU....in fact the game could get ugly. UC offensive line is suspect and heavy pressure from OU d-line would make Grutza flush from the pocket, make poor throwing decisions and keep UC offense out of sync....
UC COULD win, but I don't see it happening.
