OT: Wooo Hooo!
Woo! Hoo! Tomorrow I finally get my Father's Day gift, even if it's a week late..... a Fiddle!! I've been wantin' one fer years now. I'm teach myself how to play it. Use to play a little guitar and bass in the past.

D'yall play anything?

Ever hear Sen. Byrd play one ? He is a master fiddler. Played for a group us in the capital long ago.

I play fiddle myself. But I also fool around with guitar, mandolin, and bass. Give me anything with strings on it and I can play it. After all, I do live in East Tennessee. That's bluegrass music country.

I'm gonna teach my wife to play guitar. I'd love fer my kids to take up mandolin and banjo.

I've been playing guitar for 22 years and the piano for 24. Seems like
everyone in Memphis plays something.


The mandolin is fairly easy to learn as well, if you already know a little
guitar theory. (chords are just upside down guitar chords basically)

congrats have fun... I play the guitar myself... gonna get me a 12 string soon.. wife plays the mt dulcimer... she just got a tom yocky hand crafted one for her birthday... my daughter plays trumpet, piano, and guitar...

I like dulcimers. I wouldn't mind one of the kids playing that. And there's nothin' better than listening to some fine piano playin'!

I got my wife a mountain dulcimer for our anniversary. They do have a nice sound.
