rehashed ad nauseum

Do what I do, just do not post in a thread that you do not like. I find your comment un-interesting to me!
It is not just about what I find uninteresting. How many times can the same topics be rehashed ad nauseum? It has gotten old and tiring. Memphis might be added one day but such a day is many years in the future. That article has 0% effect on us now.

Agree it all speculation until at least June 2008. But this type second guessing will always happen. However, there will still be some major realignment in college football when the PAC 10 and the Big 10 goes 12 teams.
One interest thing could happen also, the conference could drop their championship games in football form new 9 or 10 team confernces.

never say never
Wilkie, I know that you always seem to be saying never say never, but the Pac-10 will never expand to 12 teams.

The way Arizona is bleeding red ink, I'd say the PAC 9 is far closer to reality than the PAC 12 is.

Agreed--BYU/Fresno/UNM/Boise/UNLV never--each has some liabilities, Utah maybe after that not too much out west.

The Big 10 voted down expansion a few short years ago, so all this talk is wrong.

Big 10 extended an offer to Notre Dame, which was turned down by Notre Dame, the offer is still open for Notre Dame. Big 10 has also talked to Missouri, which also turned them down! They did not veto expansion but were turned down!

Apology accepted. You must be spending too much time with Cat's Claw.
You sure spend a lot of time mentioning my name. Especially since I haven't said anything about you in ages! ;-) Seriously, considering the trashing that the Big East and departing C-USA schools took you should expect hard feelings. I will always wish C-USA well, but I'm not going to forget the crap people put us through and obviously neither will other fans of Big East schools who were in C-USA.

I thought they were interested in Missouri's market but around that time the scandals surrounding the athletic department popped up.

That happened also, but I was told the B10 used that as an excuse to cover up being rejected twice. Who knows what the truth is.

I think the Big 10 may have taken a long look at Missouri, but I don't think they ever offered them the 12th spot. You know some journalist would have sniffed out the story and it would have been all over the news. Conferences don't often formally offer memberships unless they know the other team is going to say yes.
I think if the Big 10 ever got tired of waiting for Notre Dame and offered Missouri the 12th spot in the future, they would say yes in a heartbeat. They would love the new rivalries with Illinois and Iowa, especially, as well as the new access to the Chicago market. They would really only miss the Kansas rivalry from the Big 12.

Relax, buddy. I mentioned your name because you used to be HYPER-SENSITIVE when it came to the Big East and the BCS bid. I never once said the Big East should lose its BCS bid, but you used to freak out whenever I posted anything. I'm glad that you have mellowed.

Sort of like the same way that you get so hypersensitive when anyone says anything about cusa over here, right? lmfao

I tend to think there is a big difference. My buddy Cat's Claw used to freak out even when something POSITIVE was written about the Big East.
I only get bent out of shape when folks make negative or stupid posts about C-USA. Kind of like your stupid post about Memphis not being a 1 seed even if they won out last year. Whatever happened with that?

The same thing that happened with your stupid post saying that Rutgers and USF were not good enough to win cusa last year, especially when the cusa east champion was run over by USF.
At the time that I made my statement about Memphis, I thought that there were a couple of teams in cusa in cusa would be able to knock them off, but I was very wrong. At least as time went on, I waS ABLE TO ADMIT i was wrong. You on the other hand refuse to admit that it was very possible for Rutgers or USf to win cusa last season, even using the term absurd. lmfao

1. You are comparing facts with fantasy.
2. Either you are lying or you forgot what you said. It had nothing to do with you thinking Memphis would lose. The argument was that it was IMPOSSIBLE for Memphis to be a #1 season even if they WON OUT. Well, they didn't win out and still got the #1 seed.

I would say that by the way that USF manhandled the cusa east champ, that it was proven that USF was good enough to win cusa last year.
